Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cut off the wire on the back of the eyeball?

Absolutely. The wire is included not only for purposes of manufacturing, but to make it easier for you, the polymer artist, to use them. The wire can be bent or clipped off to suit your purposes. So make it easy on yourself; grab those nice diagonal (or flush) cutters that you've been dying to use and go for it!

How can I best bend the wire on the back?

Grab the wire with your narrowest needle-nose, round-nose, chain-nose, or other narrow-jawed pliers as close to the glass as you want. Then just bend the wire with your hand or other pliers. It's stainless steel; it can take it. Another good tool for this is a pair of wire-forming pliers. These specialty items have one jaw that is U-shaped and the other is rounded, like round- or chain-nosed pliers, that fits down into the U. One squeeze makes a nice, tight bend.

Can you make me some custom eyes unlike anything shown on your site?

We will entertain ideas for some eyes, but remember that the special handling required will be reflected in the final cost. Also, in order to get things just right, there will be a minimum batch size. But, what the heck! Email us with a description and let's see what we can figure out between us. Ya never know! Really, it's mostly about the batch size; see the next question......

I have a resale number. Can you give me a wholesale price?

In order to to get a wholesale price, certain minimum size orders are required, and this would amount to quite a few eyeballs, like hundreds. If you are a member of a guild or club, you might consider organizing a bulk purchase among the members, and having an "Eyeball Matching Bee" to help reduce the price.

Are We There Yet?

Nope. Three more hours. Go back to sleep.

Why don't you call me more often?

Mom, please, I'm trying to work here......
